Yesterday, 1oth October 2018 the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) unveiled the new kits for the senior male national team, Uganda Cranes and the first ever customised kits for the national female football team, Crested Cranes.
The momentous event graced by the FUFA President Engineer Moses Magogo took place at the Mandela National Stadium board room, flanked by his first assistant, Justus Mugisha, second assistant Darius Mugoye, Executive Committee Members Chris Kalibbala, Issa Magoola, Airtel Uganda Head Brand and Communications Remmie Kisakye.
Uganda Cranes will wear the new kit starting with the home and away games against Lesotho in group L AFCON 2019 qualifiers.
FUFA also announced a new kit manufacturer, Mafro Sports.
The Design
The new kits for the outfield players are in red, white and yellow. Each kit as usual portrays all the colors of the Uganda Flag (Black, Yellow and Red) with a V-neck design having the other two colors running down in an ivory format.
The New design of the kits was made by Umar Mukasa. Mukasa emerged as the best in a competition set by FUFA and monitored by the FUFA Marketing and Communications department headed by Rogers Byamukama, the FUFA Marketing committee chairman and Esther Musoke, the FUFA Marketing Director. He will then earn himself free access to all Uganda Cranes home games and a cash reward of Shs 2.5M.

The Goalkeepers sets are in three colors; Each in all Blue, All Orange and All Purple.
Field Players:
The home kit is in White Shirts – Red Shorts & White socks, Away Kit in Red Shirts – Black Shorts & Red socks and third kit/Alternate in Yellow Shirts – Black Shorts & Yellow socks.
