Uganda Martyrs University humbly beat Bishop Stuart University 7 – 1

Mubs, Nkumba match ends goalless

This year’s Nile Special University Football League (UFL) is going to be the most memorable to University football fans ever. Still in group stages, Different universities have started expressing their eagerness for this season’s title.

In a game that was played earlier this week, Uganda Martyrs University (‘The saints’) humiliated the new comers to the league, Bishop Stuart University 7-1 in a game that was played at Nkozi Arena the home ground for the saints.
With a help of Douglas Owori, tapped the opener for the hosts as assisted by Reuben Lubega followed by an own goal by Stuart’s Innocent Tumukunde who placed Henry Orom’s shot at the back of his own net to make it 2 – 0 in the 15th minute of game play.

In the 28th minute, Bishop Stuart University was consoled through Wilber Masereka, a goal that put back some hope for the visitors but what happened next to them was a total humiliation as their joy was short lived by a 3rd to 7th goal from scorers including Reuben Lubega who scored two, Livingstone Mubigo, Jacob Owora among others.

In another game played on Thursday, Nakawa based Makerere University Business School ended in a goalless draw with Entebbe based Nkumba University.
