It was in the 90th minute of the game, while Proline FC had hosted struggling relegation
threatened Bul FC in Azam Uganda Premier League still leading the game 2 – 1, when Proline defender Denis Makoba clear headed the ball away from his side’s net that the referee of the game didn’t award to the visitor’s denying them an equaliser yet it apperared to have crossed the line.
This prompted Bul FC head Coach Peter Onen call upon the concerned bodies to introduce goal-line technology after what he termed as a poor refereeing decision.
“It’s sad that we don’t have goal-line technology, to me and the fans, the ball crosesd the line but you can’t blame the match officials. Goal-line technology would mean we leave with at least a point,”
Bul FC remain with 29 points, two points above safety to stay in the top flight. Onen and his boys are now planning to utilise the 3 remaining games (against Sadolin Paints, Soana and Onduparaka) to the end of the season, to get the desired points in order to stay up.
