Uganda Humiliates Ghana by a 52 – 12 Victory in Rugby Africa Cup 21 Group C opener

Uganda Rugby cranes has today evening showed Ghana how it’s done in the world of Rugby following an easy victory of 53   – 12 at an empty Kayddondo Rugby Ground.

Adrian Kasito scored 13 points while winger Solomon Okia and eighth man Desire Ayera bagged two tries apiece in the first Group C showdown in the Rugby Africa Cup group C opener at an empty Kyadondo ground to keep our dreams of progressing into the next round alive.

The halftime ended 29-12 in favor of the hosts, Uganda by successful tries from Faraj Odugo, Brian Odongo, Solomon Okia and Desire Ayera. Adrian Kasito had been brilliant with the boot, converting thrice and scoring a penalty too as earlier noted.

This was the first time the national team was playing an international since 2019 die to the Covid-19 pandemic that had put various sports activities on a standstill.

Team captain and others have decided to dedicate today’s win to the Head coach Robert Seguya, who was unable to be on the line due to a not good medical condition. Seguya is currently undergoing chemotherapy after being diagonised with leukemia, and today’s game has been under the charge of his assistants Brian Makalama and Bobby Musinguzi.

Group C games come back next week with Ghana facing Algeria on Wednesday. Thereafter, Uganda clash with the North Africans under strict guidelines intended to curb the spread of the rampaging virus.
