Uganda’s Vipers FC to take on South Africa’s Platinum Stars

After registering a 1-1 away draw with Volcan Club de Moroni of Comoros in the CAF confederations cup preliminary round, Uganda’s SC Vipers are to take on Platinum Stars in the first round of Africa club competition qualifers.

Former FUFA president Mulindwa’s boys first registered a 0 – 0 draw at Namboole National Stadium in the first leg of the game.

Platinum Stars will provide the Venoms a test of their credentials after the South Africans ensured their qualification to the first round with a 1-0 away win over Uniao do Songo of Mozambique to progress 2-0 on aggregate.

With the first leg to come at Vipers sports club home ground between 10-12th March 2017, the hard work for Coach Wasswa Richard and his technical team begins now.

The Venoms will then travel for the away encounter in South Africa a week later between 17-19th March 2017.
