This has been a contentious week in the entertainment industry of Uganda and the main issue was about the controversy of ”inabana song” that has two versions – one with Harmonize ft Chameleone and the other features Harmonize and Eddy Kenzo.
However what we have come to know is that the full owner of the song is the Tanzanian sensational singer, Harmonize. The song has contracted many controversies mainly here in Uganda where fans for both Ugandan super stars (Kenzo and Chameleone) have engaged themselves in a nasty verbal fight on social media. Chameleon’s fans are accusing the Big Talent boss of disrespecting their darling as the Kenzo fans are also defending theirs too.
Yesterday, 28th/August/2019 Kenzo made a video on his facebook page clearing the air that he was oblivious to the Harmonize-Chameleone’s inabana song and so he has nothing to do with it. He said that Harmonize just asked him to drop his verses minus telling him the whole story of the song. So we have been eagerly waiting for either Chameleone or Harmonize’s verdict on the song and fortunately the Valu Valu hit maker had his say via an audio.
In his words, the Kampala Lord Mayor to be -as his funs urge says that the song fully belongs to Harmonize and he has full authority to decide on who he should sing the song with, let it be Koffi Olomide or Justin Bieber may be even Micheal Jackson, provided its possible….Chameleone says he met the Tanzanian singer during the festive season and pleaded for a collabo from him and because Chameleone loves Harmonize’s music and believes in him, as he said in the audio, he automatically had to give him a chance. He said that they were both in hurry, and so they only changed contacts and just like the Kenzo’s case, Harmonize just sent a song to Chameleone to drop in his verses which he did.
Chameleone further went on saying that what might have sunk the collabo is Harmonize’s manager who refused him to talk directly to the singer and instead wanted to discuss all the stuff with him which Chameleone refused. This was when the song was done and it was time to plan for the visuals.
In brief, Chameleone has kindly begged his angry funs to stop accusing and abusing Eddy Kenzo as they are both innocent and it was all Harmonize’s and his management’s drama. The Leone Island boss says he has no problem with Eddy Kenzo and Harmonize’s inabana video since he has no strings attached with the song’s genesis. Lastly, he advised funs for both parties to listen to their preferred song and stop the hatred that has been evolved.
