Kariisa, Kagimu Shine as URA FC edges Vipers at St. Mary’s

SC Vipers 1 – 2 URA FC

URA FC put up a great performance at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende to claim three points from hosts SC Vipers by a 2 – 1 win in match day 13 of Azam Uganda Premier League.

By the fourth minute, the Venoms were already in the driving seat by Milton Kariisa’s goal. However, astonishing Individual performances from the Tax Collector’s Kisekka and Shafik Kagimu denied the Kitende Boys a hope to win a successive game for the first time in a couple of months.

Henry Kisekka ensured the two teams to end the first half all square with an equalizing goal and Kagimu netted the decider in the 47th minute of the game for his team to earn the maximum points.

Kagimu was also voted the man of the match to bag Sh 100,000 and a trophy plus a jersey from Top Bet.

URA FC Breaks Vipers Record

URA FC now becomes the first side to win a league game at the new St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende and only the second after Paidha Black Angels who won a Uganda Cup tie last season.

URA move to 6th on the 16-team table with 19 points while Vipers stay 5th with 20 points.
