Vipers Wraps Kambale on a ‘dead line day’.
Vipers SC made a significant move by securing the services of Eric Kenzo Kambale, a former Express striker who had most recently been playing for El-Merrikh in Sudan. The 23-year-old forward has committed to a 2-year contract with Vipers, lasting until 2025. This acquisition follows the recent unveiling of Allan Okello, a former KCCA star, who signed a 3-year deal with Vipers on Thursday.
Kambale is returning to the Ugandan Premier League after his tenure with Express FC, a club based in Wankulukuku, where he showcased his talent over four seasons (2018/19 and 2021/22). His signing was essential to fill the void left by Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez, the departing Brazilian striker.
During his time at Express, Kambale demonstrated his prowess by scoring an impressive 33 goals in 84 appearances, establishing himself as a goal-scoring maestro and a recognized figure in Ugandan football.
This latest addition, Kambale, marks the conclusion of Vipers’ transfer window activity. Throughout the transfer window, the club has successfully secured the signatures of eight players, namely Mohamed Salem Ekbad, Fumador Asiwome, Richard Matovu, David Bagoole, Allan Okello, Patrick Mbowa, Grant Matsiko, and Eric Kenzo Kambale.
