Wayne Rooney, Everton in Tanzania set to take on Gor Mahia

Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney who has recently signed for Massey side Everton FC is eager to make a debut for his new side in East Africa on a pre-season trip that will see the English side taking on Kenyan side Gor Mahia on Thursday in what for him percepts as a perfect way to get to know his new Everton team-mates.

“I’ve never been to Tanzania before, so I’m really looking forward to it,” Rooney Said after the first training sessionwith his boyhood club on Monday, after reporting to Everton’s Finch Farm training base.
The match is part of a shirt sponsorship deal Everton signed with Sportpesa, a Kenyan sport betting company, which also sponsors Gor Mahia where Godfrey Walusimbi of Uganda plays from.
