What Killed Adam Mulwana?
Adam Mulwana, widely recognized for his fervent support of Dr. Warren Kizza Besigye during the 2016 electoral campaign with his popular song “Toka Kwa bala-bala, Besigye anayingiya,” tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances.
Following the elections, Mulwana’s health deteriorated significantly, and in an interview with a media outlet, he revealed that he had been poisoned by someone he knew but declined to disclose their identity.
The news of Mulwana’s passing sent shockwaves through Uganda’s music and political spheres, prompting an outpouring of tributes from fellow musicians, political figures, and supporters alike. FDC Chief Whip and Mawokota South legislator, Yusuf Nsibambi, hailed Mulwana’s contributions to the party, recognizing his efforts in galvanizing support at the grassroots level and bolstering the FDC’s presence.
Reports suggest that Mulwana faced financial hardships despite expectations of substantial earnings from his involvement in the campaign. He will be laid to rest in his ancestral grounds in Bulemezi today. Rest in peace, Mulwana.
