Stella Nyanzi is a woman of her own category. Despite holding a doctorate and being Ugandan human rights activist, She is a woman that will openly express even her private matters once found in her moods.
She wasn’t much popular in the media until when she paraded nude (undressed) to show her disbelief of being suspended from Makerere University Institute of Social Research where she had worked for long. Her open ‘Luganda language terms’ in media that are considered ‘obscene’ and critics to big politicians including the first family has not only made her much popular in the country but has also seen her get respect from the young generation.

However, according to the head of the Pornography Control committee, Annette Kezaabu, she thinks that the 43-years-old human rights activist has a mental problem that needs to be addressed through counseling. She doesn’t think Stella Nyanzi needs arrest and charged under the Anti-Pornography Law of 2014 over cases of verbal obscenity through her vulgar language.
“….as a student of psychology, I think she needs counseling. She doesn’t need to be arrested” Anette Kezaabu replied after being asked about what she thinks of Stella’s language.
Kezaabu added on that Ugandans do not want perverted Ssengas that advertise on radios and TVs since they cause more harm in people’s marriages that good.
“We don’t want perverted Ssengas. Show me someone whose marriage is thriving because she receives advice from those ssengas?” He concluded.
